Mission Statement: The Justice and Peace Committee of Saint Mark Parish, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, responds to the call of Jesus as proclaimed in the Scriptures and teachings of the Catholic Church with a commitment through education to rouse consciences to respond to issues of justice and peace with responsibility.

The peace and justice committee explores and recommends avenues for living out Catholic social teaching in the parish, community and a bit further with continued support for our sister parish in High Corn, Guatemala, the Jubilee House, Lenten offerings to the Newman High School mission outreach to fund parish student participation, the marking of diocesan peace day, national issues forum, Right to Life Signature collection and Mothers Day rose sale, and the collection food staples for the Circle of Joy.
